We are excited to announce a new tool for you to use in building an inclusive green economy from the ground up: The Local Government Green Jobs Pledge.
The Pledge, developed by Green For All in partnership with the Apollo Alliance, Center for American Progress, and ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, calls on Mayors and County Executives from across the country to commit to building just, green solutions locally.
On June 24th we got some big help when 1139 mayors from around the US passed a resolution in support of the Pledge at the US Conference of Mayors meeting! The US Conference of Mayors’ support of the pledge is an important first victory. Now we need you to urge your Mayor and County Executive to actually sign the Pledge.
